WB 20/04/15

Hello again, sorry for the late posting of this weeks blog. Class 4 have again been busy in the previous week, on Wednesday we had a visit from 'Explore Learning' to help us to think about our writing. They were very impressed with both the level of work produced and the exemplary behaviour shown by Class 4. This behaviour was also evident during our cricket lesson from Colchester United.

In maths we studied decimal numbers, this will lead us onto percentages next week.
We will be concluding our writing of mystery and suspense writing.

Summer Term

Hello to everyone and welcome back to Fordham after what has, hopefully, been a fantastic Easter break.

This week we have started work on our new theme of the BFG. We have been learning about mystery and suspense stories. We have written characters and the work I have seen has been tremendous! We have also been looking at coordinates and again the level of understanding shown has been of a high quality.

In year 5 science we have started looking at plants and I was very impressed with the level of understanding shown about what makes something 'alive'. I was also very impressed with how well you understood as well as the language that you used.
