Great writing.

This week we have produced some top quality writing in class 4, it has been a rel pleasure marking so many fantastic ideas and seeing the progress our class is making! The language choices and use of  the new techniques we have been learning about has been of the highest level!

In maths we have been learning about measure and have had some investigations into how much liquid different containers hold as well as learning to read scales and convert between related units.

In science we have continued our work on the body with year 5 making working models of the elbow using card, paper clips and elastic bands. We learned that muscles work in pairs and how they attach to the bones.

We started our sessions with Colchester United on Tuesday and the attitude and behaviour of class 4 was, as expected, outstanding. I have also been very impressed this week with the level of homework produced.

Next week we will be finishing our writing set in New Zealand and in maths we will be looking more at converting units of measure as well as looking at addition strategies. I hope you have all had a great weekend and are now ready to come back into school ready to learn!

PS photos of our activities from the past week will follow in the next few days!
