Homework for this week!

Quick reminder that your homework for this week is to find out about Magna Carta.

  1. The 800 year old Manuscript was made in 15th June 1215. Magna Carta is latin for "The Great Charer." The Magna Carta made to help the poor people and the barons from being taxed to heavily by the kingto pay for wars in France that he constantly loosing.This document meant people could not have their possessions taken or be improsioned without a fair trialby a democratic jury.

  2. The Magna Carta is a 800 year old manuscript that was made in 15th June 1215. It is also called the Magna Carta liburtatum. (The Magna Carta is latin for the great charter.) It is a charter agreed by king John of England at Runnymede near Windsor. (It promised the protection of church rights.)

  3. In 1215, English barons forced King John to agree to recognise there legal rights. The agreement was known as Magna Carta ( the great charter.) The barons did not need protection, but at least the law was now recognise as more important than the word of Kings and Queens.
