Mexican Art

Class 4 have a had a week packed full of Mexican art and culture.  They have produced some absolutely outstanding pieces of work.

Using two pieces of art by Mexican artist Diego Rivera, The Flower Carrier and My Godfather's Sons, children had to scale up a small section of the painting to create a class piece.

Class 4 also enjoyed looking at different pieces of Mexican street art and enjoyed using a range of media to produce their own.  Here are just a few.

The Mexican craft continued with beautiful paper flowers.

Class 4 also found time for amazing English work throughout the week too.  They have produced excellent information leaflets about many different parts of Mexico.  We had practised using generalisers and conjunctions to add additional information and they have tried hard to use these in their writing.  The final leaflets have been presented absolutely beautifully.

And to finish off the week, it is all up on display in the classroom too.

It just remain for me to say a HUGE thank you to Mrs Allen and the Fordham team for taking such great care of class 4 this week as well as producing so much amazing work.  I can't wait to see everyone and share their hard work after half term.

I wish you all a restful and happy half term.
