Welcome to Class 4!
We have all had an excellent start to Class 4 and our new theme ' The Ancient Greeks.' Our week started with a news report about a beast that had escaped around Fordham. After reading some Greek myths, we decided that the beast sounded very much like the Minotaur!! So, in English, we have been learning a set of instructions about 'How to trap the Minotaur,' which will help us write our own instructions next week.
| 'Are you kept awake at night by the sound of the Minotaur crunching bones?' |
| 'The Minotaur is dangerous and therefore must be defeated!' |
This links to the home learning project for the next two weeks which is to research different Greek mythical creatures and to then create one. More details are outlined in the home learning book. There will also be new games and books allocated on active learn.
Our theme afternoons have been based around finding out who the Ancient Greeks were, solving clues to piece together a timeline of key events and also using the i-Pads to search for famous Ancient Greek landmarks. We will then be using these images next week to help us with our first 'Green Screen' project.
