The children did brilliantly in persevering with the problems.
During theme this week we have been finding out about the gruesome Saxon weregild which documented crimes and their punishments. The children then created their own weregild for Fordham School. The year 4s then looked at the mystery of Sutton Hoo before we start our work on the Vikings next week.
Whilst the year 4s stayed in class, the year fives went to Stanway School for a taster day. Although I only got to see them briefly before the end of the day, they all seemed to enjoy it...
Ah now it all makes sense. We had an impromptu debate at the dinner table whether dragons were good or bad pets and the use of the tomoto ketchup bottle as a judges hammer proved successful.
